    My position on Taxes
Any government must get monetary support from it's people so that it can provide services for them. Collecting taxes from the people is necessary, so the question is raised - "How should taxes be collected?"

In the United States, the government mainly taxes people based on their income. This system discourages people from working hard, because the harder you work, the more you are taxed. The tax code is easily exploited for political reasons and is so complecated that no single person could ever understand all of it. (It's about 11,000
pages long.) It also costs the economy $600 Billion every year in just paperwork.

While the income tax in this country may be progressive on paper, 70% of Americans pay more in Payroll / Self-employment taxes than they do on income taxes. Guess what? The Payroll tax is highly regressive and hurts poor people. Let's repeal all this garbage and put in place a tax system that really does work!

No one who lives below the poverty line should pay any taxes at all, in my opinion. They currently are taxed at a minimum of 15.3%. The Fairtax will ensure that everyone pays their fair share.

    White Cliffs of Dover
The White Cliffs of Dover hug the coastline of southeastern England. These cliffs—made primarily of chalk—are eroding at an alarming rate. While we don’t have an exact idea how much erosion has occurred at the White Cliffs, we can compare it to what has happened in other parts of England.
For example, a lighthouse near Eastbourne had to be rescued from a cliff’s edge. The erosion was more than 70 feet in 165 years, or about 5 inches per year!
These rates of erosion contradict the evolutionary belief that landforms are hundreds of millions of years old. If they were that old, the White Cliffs of Dover would have been disappeared long ago. Evolution requires millions of years, but rates of erosion argue against it.
According to this evidence, our earth is on the order of thousands of years old, not millions!

    Why this is here
I'm sick and tired of all the lies that have been shoved down our throats regarding the theory of evolution. Hopefully, this LJ will at least make some people think before swallowing the lie whole.
